Federal Minister for Information, Muhammad Ali Duranni, has said that fair and impartial election would be held in the country and for monitoring these foreign observers were being invited here.
He was talking to the media in a ceremony organised by Hafeez Taib Foundation here on Sunday. He said that Pakistan People Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) and Muslim League both have termed elections held under each other earlier as rigged, unfair, partial, and bogus.
Durrani said that it was for the first time in the history of Pakistan that immense funds had been allocated for the Election Commissions (EC). He dilated that government had taken revolutionary steps to make EC independent, impartial, and authoritative.
He said that no compromise would be made to maintain the law and order situation in the Waziristan area.
The Minister told that funds for development projects had shown an increase over defence head in the present fiscal budget.
