The Canadian government will provide Rs 450 million as grant for initiating a gigantic project in the province. In this connection successful talks between the Canadian government and NWFP Chief Secretary Ijaz Ahmad Qureshi were held in Canada.
The chief secretary, who visited Canada at the invitation of the Canadian government when returned, said this project would envisage improvement in good governance practices by up-grading linkage between the provincial and the district governments to better utilisation of the development funds for the welfare of the people.
The project would also ensure improving the health delivery services, education and social welfare measures at the grass-roots level, he added.
