Chairman of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Shah Geelani has condemned the Jammu blast, which killed one person and injured more than two dozen people, some of them seriously, and said his organisation wanted restoration of peace in the state.
"I condemn the blasts strongly, which killed one person and injured many of our Hindu brethren," he said while talking to reporters.
"We look at these instances through a human angle; we are not driven by the considerations based on religious lines unlike the Government of India and other leaders in India. They project killings of Hindus but observe silence when Muslims are killed in the Valley", he said.
Geelani also condemned the killings of Hindus in Doda saying such incidents should be probed by the war crimes tribunal of United States so that the real criminals could be made exposed.
He said that the Hindu brethren had not committed any sins to be killed, adding that the Muslims in Kashmir were supposed to guard the lives, properties and religious places of the Hindu brethren.
He said that the human rights situation in the valley continues to be grim with security forces killing youth, subjecting them to third rate torture and molesting our women. The Hurryiat leader said that children drowned in Wullar Lake due to irresponsible attitude of navy.
