Completion of projects worth Rs 300 million in final stage: Nasreen

The acting City Nazim Nasreen Jalil on Thursday said that the construction of several uplift projects worth more than Rs 300 million were in the final stage of completion, and she hoped that the common man would soon breathe a sigh of relief.
This she said while reviewing the uplift projects being carried out in the city. EDO Works and Services Department, EDO Information Technology, City Nazim's principal secretary, EDO Transport and Communication Department and several other CDGK officials were present on the occasion.
Urging the concerned authorities, she said that the officers would have to work fast to complete their respective uplift projects in line with the vision of the City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal to resolve the peoples problems in a short span of time. Expressing hope, she said the completion of development work was being carried out in the city would help resolve the problems of common citizens.
Acting City Nazim was also briefed by the EDO Works and Services Department about several under construction uplift projects. She was apprised that a road at the Zoological Garden was being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 190.88 million and would soon be opened for traffic. Regarding the under construction Altaf Hussain Barelvi road, she was told the road would be constructed from Sabzi Mandi to Bara Board at an estimated cost of Rs 180 million.
Nasreen Jalil expressed satisfaction over the pace of construction of the Nazimabad underpasses and inspected the construction of several other uplift projects including the National Stadium fly-over, and the Hassan Square fly-over.
