More grid stations to ensure smooth power supply

Five new grid stations are being added with an estimated cost of Rs one billion while six grid stations have been upgraded to strengthen the distribution system to ensure smooth power supply to the existing and proposed industrial areas.
Addressing a meeting, Sheikh Muhammad Ashraf, Project Director, Grid Station Construction (GSC) said that six grid stations have been upgraded with Rs 20 million to stabilise the system. 7.5 MVA power transformer of 66-KV Pathan Kot grid station has been replaced with 10/13 MVA. Similarly a third transformer of 10/13 MVA has been added to the 132-KV Jaranwala grid station. 'A new 10/13 MVA transformers has also been added in 132-KV Bandala Grid', he said and added that 66-KV Toba and Pir Mehal grid stations have also been upgraded into 132-KV grid stations.
