Arabica coffee futures finished in negative territory on Friday, with renewed speculative selling and a lack of industry buying nudging the benchmark price to its lowest since September 2005, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's active coffee contract for September delivery fell 1.25 cents to conclude at 97.70 cents a lb, having dealt from 96.90 to 99.60 cents. Front-month July slid 1.30 cents to 95.25 cents and back months shed 0.95 to 1.30 cents.
