CPNE shocked over Hayatullah's death

Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) president and editor of The Nation Arif Nizami has expressed his grief and shock at the death in mysterious circumstances of The Nation correspondent Hayatullah and demanded that authorities nab culprits at once and bring them to justice.
In a condolence message issued here on Saturday, Nizami said the supreme sacrifice rendered by Hayatullah for the profession would form a golden chapter in the story of journalism in Pakistan.
He welcomed the NWFP governor's order for an investigation and added authorities should help journalists peacefully carried out their duties.
Nizami prayed may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
He also announced that the Nawa-i-Waqt group would take full care of the family of Hayatullah.
