Bomb kills three soldiers in Waziristan: four die in helicopter crash

A roadside bomb in North Waziristan region killed three paramilitary troops and wounded three on Wednesday, a government official said. The bomb hit a paramilitary convoy patrolling near the town of Mir Ali, said Fida Mohammad Khan, a top administrator in North Waziristan. "Three troops are confirmed dead," he said.
Meanwhile, Inter Services Public Relations Directorate said that four army personnel embraced Shahadat as "a Pakistan Army Aviation Helicopter Bell-412 crashed."
The helicopter, on a routine flight, went into Barani Dam, 10 kilometres west of Bannu in NWFP, the press release said, adding, "apparently crashing due to technical fault early this morning."
"Out of seven persons onboard three have been rescued alive." The four who embraced Shahadat in the accident are Captain Faisal, Captain Shams, Lance Naik Ikram and Sepoy Altaf. An investigation has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the crash, the press release said.
