Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan foreign ministers hold meeting

The Afghan Foreign Minister Dadfar Sangeen Spanta will visit Pakistan on June 23 to discuss bilateral matters in an "environment of trust and mutual confidence." Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, who is in Azerbaijan's capital to attend the OIC Foreign Ministers Conference on Wednesday met on the sidelines with his Afghan counterpart and invited him for the visit.
Afghan Foreign Minister Spanta told the Foreign Minister that he was looking forward to visit Islamabad to discuss issues of vital importance of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
So far the dates were being discussed between the two sides through diplomatic channels, however, it materialised after the meeting, the first since Spanta took over his present position.
Foreign Minister Kasuri reiterated Pakistan's abiding interest in the welfare of Afghan brethren and stability in Afghanistan.
Iranian Foreign Minister Manounchehr Mottaki also met Foreign Minister Khurshid M Kasuri and discussed nuclear and security issues, Iraq's situation and other matters of mutual interest.
Kasuri expressed satisfaction over the recent developments with regard to the Iranian nuclear issue.
