Motorway police return bagful of money to its owner

National Highways and Motorway police on Thursday recovered and handed over Rs 1.327 million to its owners. As per details, two residents of Faisalabad-Amir, son of Ghulam Rasool and Imran, son of Maqbool-boarded a bus bearing number plate LWC-9386 from Faisalabad to Lahore and disembarked from the bus near Sheikhupura.
After few minutes, they felt that they have left their bag in the bus and immediately informed officers of Motorway Police.
Moments after the incidence, police officers succeeded in stopping the bus and recovered the bag, in which cash amount of Rs 127,000, blank cheque and a draft of Rs 1.2 million were present.
Motorway Police took the amount and handed over to its real owners in the presence of senior superintendent of police.
The Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police Ahmed Nasim has appreciated the performance of the officers and announced commendation certificates for them.
