Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Thursday affirmed to ensure proper healthcare facilities for the under-privileged and said free dialysis and MRI treatment will be provided to the needy in all federal government hospitals.
"In the healthcare programme the government is specially focusing on disadvantaged and people with low income group," he said while speaking at a function in connection with public awareness campaign about PM's Programme for Prevention and Control of Hepatitis disease. "A healthy nation is a prosperous nation while an unhealthy nation is a trouble nation," he said.
Prime Minister Aziz said that all federal hospitals will now dispense dialysis treatment for kidney patients free of cost. Similarly the needy will also have free MRI. Prime Minister Aziz said the government has also ordered three hi-tech machines for heart scanning to be installed in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi.
