The 2-day seminar on development of minerals of Sindh ended here on Wednesday evening after presentation of eleven papers by experts in different disciplines of minerals.
Exhaustive deliberations were held by the technocrats in two technical sessions on the day which was followed by a question-answer session and formulation of recommendations for development of minerals in Sindh.
Ghulam Sarwar Khero, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development, while presiding over the last session said that coal is used for power generation in many countries of the world and Pakistan is also endeavouring to use coal as alternate source of energy. He said that infrastructure facilities like roads, housing, potable water, electricity and telephone have been made available in Thar area which will facilitate the investors to carry out development activities expeditiously.
