LCCI seeks steps to improve law and order

The LCCI President, Mian Shafqat Ali, Senior Vice President Abdul Basit and Vice President Aftab Ahmad Vohra, while expressing deep concern and anguish over dacoity at a feed factory at Sheikhupura Road.
They demand of the Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool(retd), Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Inspector General Police Major Ziaul Hassan (retd)to take immediate measures to improve law and order situation which is rapidly getting out of hand in the province in general and in Sheikhupura area in particular.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the LCCI office-bearers said that at a time when the government was striving to bring in maximum foreign investment, the deteriorating law and order situation is putting a reverse gear to the efforts.
They said that the business community plays an important role in running the affairs of the country and the government should take special steps to avert any such heinous crime especially against business community. They said that such incidents would not only give bad name to the country but also discourage foreign investment in the country.
