US cocoa futures ended up on Friday as higher prices in London helped the market rebound from recent losses, but trade volumes were remarkably thin and the outlook for prices murky, dealers said.
The New York Board of Trade's active cocoa contract for September delivery rose $8 to settle at $1,543 a tonne, having dealt from $1,535 to $1,550.
Back month cocoa contracts concluded $6 to $8 up, while front month July cocoa jumped $14 to $1,551.
