US MIDDAY: coffee sags

Arabica coffee futures settled easier Friday on speculative sales and may soon slip to its lowest level in 19 months on follow-through sales in the week ahead, brokers said.
The New York Board of Trade's active September coffee contract fell 0.50 cent to close at 96.60 cents per lb, in a band from 96.25 to 97.20 cents. July eased 0.40 to 95.30 cents. The rest lost 0.40 or 0.50 cent.
