National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain has said that bill regarding permission for one-dish at wedding ceremonies would be moved in the next session of the National Assembly.
Addressing the annual dinner of industrialists and business community at a local hotel on Saturday, he said, he had received and signed the NA's standing committee's report on the subject.
The Speaker said industrialists, manufacturers and traders were the backbone of the country, adding that at present Pakistan had foreign reserves of more than 13 billion dollar because of business community's efforts and contributions.
Chaudhry Amir Hussain said he had worked at various slots in many past governments, but it was a fact that present government had very effective and viable economic policies, which would definitely help stable Pakistan.
He said tax system had been rationalised and no new taxes had been imposed in the new budget, while duties on many items had been abolished or reduced. The Speaker recommended that the government should give concession in taxes/duties on poultry products for some time to save this industry from dying up completely.
