Airblue, the Pakistan's fastest growing airline celebrated its second anniversary in Karachi on Sunday for showing its civic commitment to the city by organising a walk-a-cause - the theme being 'I Love Karachi.'
The walk started from Jahangir Kothari Parade amid colourful banners. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Chief Operating Officer, Airblue and S. Nasir Ali, Director Commercial led the walk.
Over three thousand persons from the Civil Aviation Authority, Airport Security Force, Customs, Karachi's leading travel agencies, domestic and foreign airlines, strategic alliance partners, the leading frequent flyer members, airblue employees and their families took part in walk for the cause "I Love Karachi: with a promise to keep your city clean, to keep your city green, to avoid pollution, to conserve water, to observe traffic rules, to avoid littering, to stop electricity wastage, etc".
Airblue, the airline with the youngest fleet in Pakistan (average age 8 years), launched the nation-wide second anniversary celebrations with a mega event in Lahore on June 18 where more than 1000 aviation related persons participated in a programme marked by the cake-cutting ceremony followed by a musical concert.
The second anniversary celebrations, which mark the completion of "Two Dynamic Years" for Pakistan's airline of first choice, will be held over the next one month in Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, and Faisalabad on the domestic network and in Dubai on the international route.
