French business morale dips

French business confidence slipped slightly in June as activity looked set to level off over coming months and foreign orders dropped sharply, according to a survey by the national statistics office on Monday.
The INSEE's industry business climate index for June dipped to 107 from a revised 108 in May. The May figure had previously been reported as 107. Firms surveyed said activity in the manufacturing industry had stabilised, with inventories coming down slightly and foreign orders thinning out.
