Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 224,651 tonnes of cargo including 168,632 tonnes import, 56,019 tonnes export cargo and 4,589 containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 159,435 tonnes dry cargo including 92,397 tonnes general cargo; 7,790 tonnes sugar; 27,223 tonnes fertiliser; 2,778 tonnes rice; 4,526 tonnes cement; 24,500 tonnes coal; 220 tonnes other cargo and 65,216 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Iran Kordestan, Hanjin Busan, Maersk Alabama, Antarios Breeze, M T Shalamar, Sutra Tiga and Galvanic sailed out to sea during the report period.
Twelve vessels viz Corinthiakos, Hanjin Busan, Maersk Alabama, Tower Bridge, Nordwoge, Pu He, Iron Butterfly, Iran Kordestan, MT Johar, Perseveerance Hartati and Haru are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Conqueror, Serife, Orchid Bay and Nordwoge expected to sail on Monday, while four vessels viz M.T. Johar, Pu He, Corinthiakos and Perseveerance are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Three vessels viz Florida, Apl Dalian and Amar due to arrive on Monday, while four ships namely JO Brik, MT Lalazar, Opal and Mol Silver Fern are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 32,932 tonnes furnace oil; 7,495 tonnes edible oil; 6,952 tonnes C. seeds and 2,666 tonnes yellow peas.
Two ships namely CV Kou Chang and MT Oriental Bouquet sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total of seven vessels viz Indonesia Star, Keefan, Gazelle, Oriental Princess, Ginga Tiger, Warrior and Yong Xiang-9 are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV Indonesia Star, CV Nedlloyd Muscat, MT Orion Princess and M.T. Ginga Tiger due to take berths on Monday.
Five vessels viz CV Sealand Mariner, CV MSC Selin, MV Hyderabad, MT Qem Star and M.V. Overseas Harriette due to arrive to load/offload containers, rice, chemicals and wheat on Monday, while two more ships namely CV Gallant Wave and CV Austria are due to arrive on Tuesday.
