Musharraf urges PML leaders to remove differences

President General Pervez Musharraf has reiterated that fair, free and transparent elections would be held on schedule. He was talking to central leader of the Pakistan Muslim League and former Punjab chief minister Mian Manzoor Ahmed Watto, who called on him at the Army House here, Monday.
The President, however, stressed leaders of the PML should remove their differences and promote understanding among them to prepare the PML for general elections.
Manzoor Watto told reporters after the meeting that coming general elections, PML's party polls and removal of Intra-party differences of the PML came under discussion during the meeting. The President stressed members of the PML should evolve complete unity to get the PML prepared for coming general elections.
The President ruled out postponement of general elections and pledged fair, free and transparent polls would be held on its schedule. The President hoped the PML and its members would promote democratic culture in their party's polls. He asked Muslim leaguers to reorganise the party at grassroots level.
