The City District Government Rawalpindi has presented Rs 4.583 billion budget with Rs 1.186 billion development and Rs 3.038 billion non-development expenditures.
City district nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas on Tuesday presented the budget in the district assembly, which was presided over by Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, convenor and district naib nazim.
The nazim told the house that during the year 2005-06 district government received Rs 3.2226 billion from PFC Award which, during the next fiscal year would be Rs 3.5875 billion including PFC award of Rs 3.3497 billion, besides a grant of Rs 238.482 million.
Giving details of allocations of non-development expenditures, he said Rs 350 million were allocated for salaries and allowances of employees and Rs 2.6 million for honorarium for women councillors.
Rs 28 million were allocated for schools management committees, Rs 55 million for repair and renovation of roads, Rs 49.5 million for renovations and repair of buildings, Rs 45.575 million for purchase of medicines and Rs 20 million have been allocated for families of deceased employees of the CDG, he said.
