The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Wednesday announced results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination, 2006, with a pass percentage of 83.40. Of the total 48,058 students who appeared in the annual examination, 40,046 were declared successful with girls' out-shining boys in science group.
Munira Malik of Kekshan Army Public School Multan Cantt; Madeeha Ahmed of Army Public School Kharian Cantt; and Aqsa Ansari of Army Public School, Tufail Road, Lahore Cantt; bagged first three positions in science group by obtaining 1002, 991 and 989 marks, respectively.
Among boys, Saad Khalid with 989 marks got first position, Usama Bin Nasir secured second position by obtaining 987 marks and Haider Ali and Muhammad Waqar Ahmed stood third by attaining 984 marks each.
Hafiz Umair Latif of Institute of Islamic Sciences Satra Meel bagged first position in Humanities group while Raja Abdullah Akhtar of National Special Education Center for hearing impaired children H-9, obtained second position. Amna Bakhsh of Daral Hijra International school Saudi Arabia got third position in Humanities group.
