Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 47,454 tonnes of cargo including 30,965 tonnes import, 16,489 tonnes export cargo and 4,163 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 41,090 tonnes dry cargo including 33,759 tonnes general cargo; 7,331 tonnes bulk cargo and 6,364 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Apl Dalian, Jade Trader, Carolina, Kota Wangsa, Hyderabad, Florida and Al-Marwah sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Kota Wajar, Thor Captain, YM Sun, Hyundai Highway and Jo Birk are currently at the berths. One ship Mol Silver Fern expected to sail on Thursday, while two vessels viz Marcalabria and Orient Independence are expected to sail on Friday.
Six vessels viz Opal, Sutra Tiga, Marcalabria, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Kota Tabah and Diamond Progress due to arrive on Thursday, while seven ships namely M.T. Shalamar, Global Progress, Oel Patrio, Antonis, Bolan, Atlantic Forest and Capetan Lefteris are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 16,181 tonnes diesel oil; 2,136 tonnes sugar; 9,298 tonnes C. seeds; 8,370 tonnes chemicals and 43,027 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Sealand Mariner, M.T. Keefan and M.T. Ginga Tiger sailed out to sea during the report period, while three more ships namely CV Gallant Wave, C.V. MSC Austria and M.T. Liquid Success are expected to sail on Thursday.
A total of seven vessels viz MSC Selin, Al-Mirqab, Gazelle, Trust Spirit, Warrior, Hyderabad and Oversea Harriette are currently at the outer anchorage. Three ships namely CV Al-Mirqab, C.V. Orient Patriot and M.T. Gazelle due to take berths on Thursday.
Three vessels viz C.V. Saudi Abha, M.T. Opal and M.V. Worada Naree with containers, edible oil and sugar due to arrive on Thursday, while three more ships namely CV MSC Germany, C.V. China Star and M.T. Qem Star with containers and chemicals are due to arrive on Friday.
