Kasuri leaves for France, US today

Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri embarks on Tuesday on a 10-day visit to France and the United States for talks on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest, it was officially announced here on Monday.
In his three-day visit to France (July 4-6), the Foreign Minister will hold talks with his French counterpart, Philippe Douste-Blazy, a Foreign Office statement said.
Besides, a meeting with French National Assembly President Jean-Louis Debre, the Foreign Minister will also meet former Prime Minister and President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly Edouard Balladur. The Foreign Minister will address the French Institute of International Affairs, which is a prestigious French think-tank.
Kasuri will later proceed to Washington at the invitation of the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, the statement said. The Foreign Minister will hold talks with Dr Rice on July 10 on matters of bilateral interest, regional and international issues, besides situation in Afghanistan, status of the composite dialogue process with India and other issue of mutual concern.
