On Thursday, the BRIndex30 opened with a positive gap of 171 points, but before closing at 10,372.11 it went down to the negative zone and closed with a change of -0.15. The intra-day high and low were 10,542.69 and 10,370.95 respectively.
The volume amounted to 196,963,300, which was 88.76 percent of the total market and 95.84 percent of KSE-100 index. The volume of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 221,908,700 and 205,522,200, respectively. BR Tech. & Comm. Index closed at 1,259.23 with a net upward change of 4.16 or percentage change of 0.33. The volume of this sector was 8,511,400.
BR Cement Index was the most active sector with a turnover of 70,065,400. It closed at 1,683.51 with a net positive change of 34.6 or percentage change of 2.10. BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector with a turnover of 65,763,600. It closed at 3,564.49 with a net negative change of -23.11 or percentage change of -0.64.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 895.34 with a downward change of -7 or percentage change of -0.78. The turnover for this sector was 1,605,000. BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector with turnover of 46,708,900. It closed at 1,960.06 with a net negative change of -13.67 or percentage change of -0.69.
