A central leader of PPP-P Taj Haider has said that the reconstituted Council of Common Interest (CCI) is not a representative body. Speaking to a private TV channel he said that the Supreme Court had ordered its reconstitution and General Pervez Musharraf reconstituted it.
He said that the basic thing is that there is a military dictatorship in the country and a dictator has formed the council.
To a question the PPP leader said that the prime minister himself came to power through rigging and no good could be expected from the present government. The Article 151 to 153 is very important. The representative status of the Council members is questionable so it is useless to expect any good from them, he added.
To another question Taj Haider said that there are many constitutional demands but the Constitution itself has been deformed at gunpoint.
He said when General Musharraf took over the country's affairs he had said that he would eliminate inter-provincial disharmony but actually the disharmony has increased.
