Prices move both ways on grain market

Mixed price pattern was seen on the grain market on Saturday, as traders was interest in fresh buying, dealers said. On the grams side, gram garda Punjab gained Rs 25 to Rs 2900-2975, gam dal Punjab picked up Rs 50 to Rs 3350-3425, yellow peas shed Rs 25 to Rs 1400-1460, yellow peas dal shed Rs 25 to Rs 1575-1625, dealers said.
They said due to better supply, the beetle 50x50 lost Rs 50 to Rs 3550-3625, other items remained unchanged in process of business. On the cereals side, Masoor Australia shed Rs 25 and masoor dal Canada was also down by Rs 50 at Rs 2600, dealers said.
On the rice sector, prices maintained firm trend as irri white inferior type gained Rs 20 to Rs 870 and better type also rose by Rs 30 to Rs 900, they said. A solo deal was reported on the cereals side as Makai low type shed Rs 10 to Rs 740 on easy supply position, they said.
