Hyundai to invest Rs 1 billion on IT uplift: adviser

Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister for Information Technology, Environment & Alternative Energy, Noman Saigol said Korean IT company, Hyundai, in co-ordination with Sindh government, would invest Rs 1 billion in different IT projects, including setting up an international standard IT university in Nawabshah.
He was addressing to a ceremony to hand over plot for setting up IT University here on Sunday. Chief of Hyundai IT Pakistan, Tariq Naseem, DCO Nawabshah, EDO Education and others were also present.
He said that the IT department in co-operation with Hyundai company would provide latest and best available facilities of IT to people of the province.
He said to make IT education available for people belonging to middle and lower class, 40 more free IT Awareness Centers have been constructed and they would be inaugurated within a month.
Meanwhile, talking to newsmen at Nawabshah Press Club, he claimed that due to excellent economic policies of President Musharraf and Prime Minister has become an optimal place for investment.
