Volunteers not being paid for six months

The national volunteers performing their duties under the district police authorities have not been paid salaries so far for six months. More than 750 volunteers were serving on Rs 8 per day that is unsatisfactory but despite it they were being deprived of earning.
The volunteers have appealed to Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) and DIG, Police Welfare Punjab to take notice of it and pay them honoraria in accordance with the dearness allowance at present.
