Pakistan Steel Re-Rolling Mills Association, KESC consumer

10 Jul, 2006

While watching the 9 o' clock news bulletin, I came across the news of the KESC management addressing a Press conference and talking about the current problems faced by the power utility.
I must commend the KESC CEO for taking this step and sharing the ground realities of the current power crisis with the citizens. It is heartening to note that amidst all the criticism and outrage related to the KESC and its frequent power cuts, the management has come forward before the media and informed its consumers of the reasons for these problems.
We have borne frequent power failures every summer for the past many years, but no one shared the true picture with us. Now that we have been taken onboard by the KESC management, we know what to expect and how long it will take KESC to overcome the problems causing these power failures. It's about time that we give KESC a break from all the uproar surrounding it and all the complaints that have been showered at.
As for the power utility, I hope that this positive trend of communication with the public is not just a flash in the pan but a concentrated effort at establishing better relations between the KESC and its consumers.
