11 Jul, 2006

NWFP Senior Minister and Provincial Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Siraj-ul-Haq has said that only religio-political parties have rendered sacrifices for the country and nation while secular elements enjoyed power and made new records of malpractices in the form of corruption, commission, plots and permits.
He was addressing a mammoth public meeting at Rawalakot Stadium during his two-day AJK tour. The election rally was also addressed by MMA candidate and AJK President of MMA Sardar Afzal Khan, Vice President Allama Anwar Rukanuddin, Ustadul Ulema Syed Yousaf who highlighted the salient features of the manifesto of MMA for national development, integrity and enforcement of Shariah. Sirajul Haq said that the secret of the freedom of Kashmir lied in Jihad and continuous endeavours.
He said that sacrifices of the people of Kashmir would yield fruits as he said 90,000 Kashmiris added a new chapter in history of the freedom by embracing martyrdom. He while regretting the unwanted interference of the imperial forces in our national politics and silent support of the rulers said that those begging the help of US and UK for freedom were in fact living in fools paradise.
The Senior Minister said that only religious parties reached to the rescue of the earthquake victims in the horrendous devastation of 8th October, provided succour and made extensive welfare activities.
