Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 82,972 tonnes of cargo including 51,053 tonnes import, 31,919 tonnes export cargo and 2,057 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 42,846 tonnes dry cargo including 21,310 tonnes general cargo; 4,135 tonnes sugar; 5,676 tonnes fertiliser; 2,034 tonnes rice; 6,150 tonnes coal; 3,541 tonnes yellow peas and 40,126 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Three ships namely Mearsk Alabama, Banglar Kallol and Lalazar sailed out to sea during the report period. Seven vessels viz Dimitris C, Tai Shan Hai, Lai King, Bunga Delima, Cyrus, Mol Kauri and Orionis are currently at the berths.
One ship namely Oriental Protea expected to sail on Tuesday.
Four vessels viz Apl Osaka, Kota Teraju, Tai Harmony and Angara due to arrive on Tuesday, while ten ships namely MT Shalamar, Bun Chin, Al Rafal, Kota Wijaya, Dong He, Hyundai Future, Western Star, YM Star, Inaba and Atlantic Express are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 17,318 tonnes diesel oil; 8,853 tonnes edible oil; 2,575 tonnes sugar; 1,451 tonnes rice; 1,300 tonnes chemicals; 1,554 tonnes cement and 29,682 tonnes containerised cargo.
Six ships namely CV MSC Socotra, CV Asian Trader, CV Merker Sea, MV Warrior, MT Al Maqwa and MT Yanaseni sailed out to sea during report period, while another ship CV Sealand Voyager is expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of three vessels viz Alabanda, Scan Bothina and Lady Jasmine are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely CV Nedlloyd Muscat and CV Xiang Wan due to take berths on Tuesday.
Six vessels viz MT Suzanne, MT Chem Adriatic, MV Fl Tango, Al-Jaber-15, MT Jinga Jaguar and MV Trinity with sugar, chemicals, edible oil and iron ore due to arrive on Tuesday, while three more ships namely CV Asian Gyro, CV CMA CGM Sambhar and Mega-1 are due to arrive on Wednesday.
