Rs 1.5 billion IDP for AJK and Balochistan launched

UK based International Islamic Relief launched its Rs 1.5 billion Integrated Development Programme for AJK and Balochistan to improve the health and hygiene conditions and provide clean drinking water in the earthquake devastated areas of AJK and inaccessible areas of Balochistan.
IR sources told Business Recorder that in the Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Rawalakot districts and Neelam valley of AJK, Islamic Relief is engaged in construction of water supply schemes, Latrines, Hygiene promotion, Agriculture, Livestock and enterprise development, establishment of emergency medical centers while in Balochistan districts of Chaghi and Kharan, IR is implementing projects of Water Resource development, improvement in livelihoods and establishment of preventive and curative health care facilities.
Secretary General of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Senator Mushahid Hussain who was the chief guest at the launching ceremony appreciated the generous contributions made by the international community for rehabilitation and reconstruction projects in the earthquake hit areas of Pakistan and AJK.
