Campaign for preparation of electoral lists for the upcoming general elections in Bajaur Agency is being started from July 14. Assistant Election Commissioner Bajaur Agency, Abdul Qayyum Khan told APP on Wednesday that like other parts of the country all arrangements have been finalised for preparation of electoral lists in Bajaur Agency.
He said the Agency has been divided into 701 zones to conduct the campaign in a transparent manner. He said that a team of 942 election officials has been designated to prepare the electoral list. For this purpose, services of 700 teachers have also been acquired, he added. The Assistant Election Commissioner said that 234 supervisors have also been appointed to supervise the campaign.
He said that seven registration officers have been appointed, adding that every Tehsildar of the sub-division would have the status of Registration Officer.
He said the personnel of election commission would visit door to door to register the voters.
