Training course for statisticians from August 1

A two-week training course on an important statistical methodology "Input output tables" will begin here from August 1. The course is being organised by Training Wing of Statistics Division for the capacity building of statisticians in GDP measurement techniques.
The resource person for this course is Professor Dr Reiner Staglin who is an internationally renowned expert. For a long time he chaired the International Input Output Association.
Professor Staglin is teaching economics at Universities of Berlin and Potsdam. He is also a long-term employee of German Institute for Economic Research, Berlin and Vice-President of the German Statistical Society. His visit has been arranged under grant from GTZ, a development agency of the German government.
This course will be attended by 20-25 professionals of various federal and provincial government departments including statistics division and its attached departments. This will enhance the competency of professionals in the relevant field.
