Spokesman of Balochistan government Abdul Raziq Bugti has rejected the impression that the houses of nationalist leaders Agha Shahid Bugti and Hamayun Khan Marri have been surrounded and they are under surveillance in the provincial capital and said the steps have been taken for their security purposes.
Talking to APP here on Sunday, he said the government has deployed personnel of law-enforcement agencies at the residences of the nationalist leaders for their security.
Several commanders and ten of hundreds of armed supporters of Nawab Akbar Bugti have surrendered to the government and withdrawn their supports to the Nawab due to his atrocities and injustices with them he said and added that these commanders and supporters could target the nationalist leaders as revenge at any time. That is why the government has provided security to the leaders.
"Shahid Bugti and Hamayun Marri are free to move anywhere, but it is the responsibility of the government to provide them security", he added.
Referring to the reaction of the leaders, he said that they are still misunderstanding the security steps taken by the government. However, they have not yet expressed their views in written to the government.
He said that Nawab Bugti has left the area and majority of his supporters have surrendered to the government. He welcomed them for withdrawing their support for the area tribal chief and joining hands with the government in developing their backward area. Now the area is becoming completely free from saboteurs, miscreants and terrorists and heading towards progress and prosperity.
