PML pays tributes to Qasmi

Information minister Senator Muhammad Ali Durrani on Sunday said the PML government has established a system to ensure complete press freedom. But no one would be allowed to do any thing wrong with the country and there was no freedom to plunder the national exchequer, he said while addressing a reference here at the PML house.
It was organised by the cultural wing of Pakistan Muslim League in memory of great poet and columnist Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi. The minister said press is totally free but there would be no compromise on national interests, integrity and solidarity of the country.
The minister said the PML as a national party has been providing guidance to the nation in all departments.
Senator Durrani, paying glowing tributes to Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, said he was a great poet and intellectual, who always supported the cause of oppressed people.
PML secretary-general Senator Mushahid Hussain, speaking on the occasion, said Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi was a progressive, intellectual, great journalist, a man of commitment and remained committed throughout his life to his principles.
He said his writings and ideas through his poetry would remain alive in the hearts of the people.
PML cultural wing president Khawaja Masood, PML additional secretary-general Zafar Bakhtawari, Iqbal Dar, Jamil Yousaf, Surriya Nasim, Sarfraz Shahid, Dr Aliya Imam, MNA Akram Masih Gill, Ms. Farrah Khan, Abida Taqi, speaking on the occasion paid rich tributes, to Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi.
