Gram and gram dal both ruled higher on the commodities wholesale markets, whereas sporadic fluctuation was also seen in other commodities during the week ended on July 15, 2006.
On Monday, some changes were seen on the Jodia Bazar where Kirana items were marked with substantial changes, such as white pepper from Singapore was higher by Rs100 to Rs 4800, Mace was up by Rs 800 to Rs22,400, Cloves finished lower by R s200 to Rs 13,800, dry ginger gained Rs 50 to Rs 4300, Sago closed higher by Rs 25 to Rs 1200, cuminseed closed lower by Rs 100 to Rs 4900, and darchini shed Rs 100 to Rs 2600. On the commodity wholesale market Irr-6 Sindh was higher by Rs 20 t Rs 1360.
ON TUESDAY, JODIA BAZAR SAW VARIATIONS ACROSS THE BOARD IN PLASTIC MOULDINGS: HDPE film (per lb) Saudia 952 closed down 50 paisa to Rs 45.50, Mobil was lower by same amount to Rs 45.50, TR 144 lost 50 paisa to Rs 45.25, HDPE injection Sabic 20056 gained Re 1 to Rs 45.50, Mobil 016 up 50 paisa by Rs 1 to Rs 44.50, HDPE Kuwait up 75 paisa to Rs 45.75, Marlex went down by Rs 1 to Rs 45.50, and Iran down by Rs 1.50 to Rs 45, LDPE 374 closed with gain by Rs 1.50 to Rs 47.50, MG-20 finished up by Rs 3.50 to Rs 47.50 and MG 70 down by 50 paisa to Rs 48.50, LLDPE W118 down by 25 paisa to Rs 46.25 and 7087 quoted at Rs 46, Polypropylene film Thai ended up 25 paisa to Rs 46.75.
Kuwait ended higher up 25 paisa to Rs 46.75 and India up by 25 paisa to Rs 46.75, Polystyrene Pak was quoted at Rs 46.75, Polystyrene Pak quoted at Rs 2645, copoly block ended up by Rs 1.50 to Rs 48.50 and Random finished up by Rs1.50 to Rs 50, High impact Pak was quoted at Rs 2788 and BASF closed higher by Rs 100 to Rs 2900, ABS (per bag) polac down by Rs 150 to Rs 3300 and Khumo up Rs 100 to Rs 3,100.
On the wholesale commodities markets gram prices close higher, gram garada Punjab up by Rs 50 to Rs 2950-3025, gram dal Punjab up Rs 50 to Rs 3400 and better type quoted higher at Rs 3475, yellow peas showed marginal rise of Rs 15 to Rs 1385 and better was higher at Rs 1450, beetle Chana I gained Rs 100 to Rs 3100 and better type up at Rs 3175, beetle 50x50 shed sharply to Rs 3000 and better type to Rs 3075, dal beetle quoted at Rs 3600 and better at Rs3675.
On Wednesday Jodia Bazar showed no change while commodities showed variation in Moong Burma up Rs 50 to Rs 4250, Masoor Australia quoted at Rs 2550 and better at Rs 2600 and Canadian masoor dal quoted at Rs 2650 and better quoted at Rs 2700.
On Thursday a few changes were marked in Raw Rubber traded at Jodia Bazar: Raw rubber from Ceylon (Per lb) RSSV ceylon finished lower by Rs 2 to Rs 77 and pale Grape TPC 3 moved down by Rs 5 to Rs 105 and Latex Semnan Tex quoted at Rs 530 and Thai (G.T) quoted at the same price Rs 530. On the commodities wholesale markets Gram Punjab rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3000 and better was quoted at Rs 3075, gram dal Punjab picked up Rs 50, Beetle Chana I was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3150 and better was quoted higher at Rs 3225, Beetle 50x50 gained Rs 50 to Rs 3050 and better was quoted higher at Rs 3125, dal beetle up Rs 50 to Rs 3650, and better quoted higher at Rs 3725.
On Friday some changes in plastic mouldings were again marked at Jodia Bazar. HDPE film (per lb) Saudia 952 closed lower by 25 paisa to Rs 45.25 Mobil closed with 25 paisa losses to Rs 45.25 and TR 144 down by Rs 1.25 to Rs 45. LLDPE W118 climbed higher by 75 paisa to Rs 47, 7087 gained Rs 1 to Rs 47, and Sabic 500026 up by Rs 1 to Rs 48. Cottonseed oil cakes gained Rs 10 to Rs 660 and better was quoted higher at Rs 670. A solo deal on cereal side was seen in guwar better type gained Rs 100 to Rs 2150 while the other type showed no variation.
