On the directives of the City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, the fumigation vector control department of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) plans to begin its second phase of summer fumigation campaign to eliminate the breeding of insects, flies, and mosquitoes.
The campaign under which the department will spray insecticides in all parts of the cosmopolitan city will be started from July 20 and will continue till August 8. The fumigation will be done date-wise, ie on July 20 Gulshan-e-Iqbal town, July 21 Shah Faisal town, July 22 Lyari town, July 24 Site town, July 25 Baldia town, July 26 Orangi town, July 27 Jamshed town, July 28 Keamari town, July 29 North Nazimabad town, July 31 Liaquatabad town, August 2 New Karachi town, August 3 Saddar town, August 4 Malir town, August 5 Landhi town, August 7 Korangi town, August 8 Bin Qasim town, and August 9 Gadap town. The operation would be conducted in the evening hours at seven o clock.
