The Engineering Development Board (EDB) has indigenously developed a prototype of ginning machine whose production is 2.5 time higher than that of a conventional machine. Giving details of machine's performance, EDB CEO Imtiaz Rastgar said the power consumed by the prototype machine is 2.66kw against 5.478kw by conventional machines.
A meeting, chaired by industries minister Jehangir Khan Tareen on Wednesday, reviewed performance of the Task Force on Ginning.
