Uzbek Airlines starts direct flights

The official airline of Uzbekistan, Uzbek Airlines has started direct flights from three Pakistani cities - Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, with five flights from Lahore, seven from Karachi and two from Islamabad to Tashkent every week.
The launch ceremony of Uzbek Airlines was held at a local hotel with Punjab ministers Muhammad Ajmal Cheema and Mian Imran Masood as chief guests. Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Oybek Arif Usman, Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan, Sajjad Kamran, Country Manager Arif Ruzimurad and acting president LCCI, Abdul Basit were also present.
