A footage taken and uploaded to YouTube by one user has UFO hunters in frenzy, as the video allegedly shows a swarm of UFOs believed to be alien spacecraft - taking off into the dark side of the moon.
The video surfaced right after the supermoon phenomenon and was uploaded by the user and UFO hunter, Geri Vigil; who claims the footage shows rather a large fleet of alien spacecraft taking off from the lunar surface. Vigils video titled Large Group of Ufos Leaving The Moon, went viral on YouTube garnering over 300,000 views. Other YouTube UFO hunters also uploaded a copy of the video fetching upwards of a million hits.
However, experts and UFO skeptics have dismissed the claim, saying that the visual impression of a large fleet of alien spaceships taking off and flying in a swarm over the lunar surface was due to an optical illusion caused by an out-of-focus lens.
Vigils video, titled Large Group Of UFOs Leaving The Moon, has gone viral on YouTube with more than 300,000 views. YouTube UFO hunter Mister Enigma also uploaded a copy of the video to his YouTube channel on November 19, 2016. The footage went viral immediately and has received more than 700,000 views.
Many skeptics have moved to discredit the video offering various far fetched? explanations as to the debunking of the phenomenon, one famous one of those being; that the alleged spacecrafts are nothing but a glitch due to an out-of-focus lens followed by other hypothesis that dictate that such anomalies often occur in digital imagery.
