Federal Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad presided over a meeting in the office of the Election Commissioner Punjab to review the preparation of fresh computerised electoral rolls 2006-2007.
He told the meeting that the ECP has made all efforts to make the electoral rolls authentic and error-free, and directed the officers to maintain close liaison with field officers and other stakeholders to complete the task, says a press release issued here on Friday. The secretary said that 42,000 enumerators, 14,000 supervisors, 1,081 assistant registration officers and 44 registration officers have been appointed by the Chief Election Commissioner for the Punjab province for the purpose.
