Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 121,346 tonnes of cargo including 94,559 tonnes import, 26,787 tonnes export cargo and 4,255 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 71,296 tonnes dry cargo including 47,658 tonnes general cargo; 5,522 tonnes sugar; 1,411 tonnes cement; 16,705 tonnes coal and 50,050 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Nine ships namely Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Maralabria, Iran Baabaei, Oel Aishwarya, Placid Sea, Phoenix Leader, Haje Khereh, Angara and MT Lalazar sailed out to sea during the report period. Four vessels viz Ever Guard, Phoenix Leader, Borkum and Serife are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Ever Guard, MT Swat, Naha, Borkum and Diamond Park expected to sail on Saturday, while another vessel Bolan is expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Free Star, Marine Blue and Ocean Morning due to arrive on Friday, while another ship namely Iran Shahryar is due to arrive on Sunday. Four ships namely Jo Sycamore, Kota Jasa, Persia and Fuji are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 39,402 tonnes diesel oil; 6,227 tonnes edible oil; 5,666 tonnes sugar; 12,022 tonnes seeds; 13,312 tonnes coke; 2,140 tonnes chemicals and 14,059 tonnes containerised cargo.
Container vessel MSC Socotra sailed out to sea on Saturday morning, while another ship MT Al-Maqwa is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total of seven vessels viz Nedlloyd Muscat, Oel Aishwarya, Kou Chang, Chery Galaxy, Precious, Adrekni and POS Dignity are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely CV Oel Aishwarya and CV Kou Chang due to take berths on Saturday.
Four vessels viz CV Xiang Wan, MT Al-Mukhtarah, MV Dustia Naree and MT Chemstar Eagle with containers, chemicals, sugar and furnace oil due to arrive on Saturday, while four more ships namely CV MSC Hailey, CV Sinar Bontang, CV Hurst Point and MT Anette Kosan with containers and chemicals are due to arrive on Sunday.
