Pakistan Muslim League is playing a historical role for promotion of democracy and consolidation of political institutions in the country, this was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi while submitting his nomination papers for election to the slot of provincial head of Muslim League here on Sunday.
He said that elections in the party were reflective of how much the party believed in adherence to democratic norms.
The Chief Minister said that expansion in the party net work throughout the country was proof of popularity of the party and how people believed in the contribution made by it towards their cause, he added. On this occasion, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, provincial ministers and a large number of party workers were also present.
