City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has inaugurated a three-km-long and nine to 12-meter-wide Abu-al-Hassan Asfahani Road, which was built at the cost of Rs 10.9 million from Super Highway to University Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
In his address at the inauguration ceremony of Abu-Al-Asfahani Road here on Sunday night, he said the present City District Government Karachi (CDGK) had initiated uplift projects of more than Rs 2 billion only in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town.
He said that soon after making the signal-free corridor from Site to Shahrae Faisal, from the Nagin Chowrangi to Shahrae Faisal would also be made a signal-free corridor. The city government also had planned to build a fly-over at Jauhar Mor, he added.
Taking notice of the public problems caused by the dug-up roads in the city, the City Nazim said they would soon be built on priority basis. On the occasion, town administration, and CDGK officials were present.
