Rajab moon to be sighted today

The new moon will be sighted today (Wednesday), and the first of Rajab 1427 AH will thus fall on Thursday. According to astronomical parameters, there is a good chance of sighting the Rajab moon today. The moon crossed the conjunction line yesterday (Tuesday) at 0931 Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
The sunset today will be at 1921 PST, and evening civil twilight (ECTL) will be at 1945 PST. The moon will set at 2023 PST. Thus the age of the new moon will be 34 hours and 14 minutes at ECTL. It will set 62 minutes after sunset and 37 minutes after ECTL.
At the time of ECTL the moon will be at an altitude of seven degrees and 48 minutes and at an azimuth of 286 degrees and nine minutes. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy.
