Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 45,856 tonnes of cargo including 42,474 tonnes import, 3,382 tonnes export cargo and 826 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 43,919 tonnes dry cargo including 12,815 tonnes general cargo; 5,481 tonnes sugar; 5,251 tonnes fertiliser; 2,078 tonnes cement; 13,700 tonnes coal; 4,614 tonnes steel scrap and 1,937 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo. Four ships namely Iran Shahryar, Renee, Sibi and Fuji sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Worada Naree, Qin Hai, Fuji and Maersk Alabama are currently at the berths. One ship namely Maersk Alabama expected to sail on Tuesday, while three vessels viz Orionis, Serife and Kota Jasa are expected to sail on Wednesday.
One vessel viz Apl Dalian due to arrive on Tuesday, while ten ships namely Al-Marwah, Stolt Protector, Stolt Azalea, SC Fortitude, Satha Bhum, Hyundai Stride, YM Mondego, Corinthiakos, Cape Santiago and Ding Xiang Hai are due to arrive on Wednesday.

Six ships namely MV Alabanda, MV Hau Shan Hai, MT Anette Kosan, MT Chemstar Eagle, MT Al-Mukhtarah and MT Cheery galaxy sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely El-Tango and CV Sinar Bontang are expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of seven vessels viz Yanaseni, Ilaria, Xiang Wan, Acx Plumeria, Adrekni, Yong Xiang-9 and Precious are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV Acx Plumeria, MV Precious, MV Adrekni and MT Yanaseni due to take berths on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz MV Dustia Naree and MV Constantinos with sugar due to arrive on Tuesday, while two more ships namely CV Thuringia Express and MSC Aurora with containers are due to arrive on Wednesday.
