BRIndex30 loses 12.68 points

The BRIndex30 registered a negative change of -12.68 on Tuesday, opening at 10,953.11 with a jump gap of 48.31 and closing at 10,892.12. For most of the trading day it remained in the green zone, falling only in the last 15 minutes, or so. The BRIndex30 made an intra-day high of 10,996.07 and low of 10,883.90.
The volume amounted to 213,486,800, which was 83.78 percent of the total market, and 95.85 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 254,794,520 and 222,718,020, respectively.
BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 1,390.52 with a net downward change of -4.09 or -0.29 percent. The volume of this sector was 30,967,300. BR Cement Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,800.98 with a net negative change of -12.94 or -0.71 percent. Volume was 37,606,100.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector with a turnover of 50,972,500. It closed at 3,562.54 with a net negative change of -8.6 or -0.24 percent. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 963.33 with a downward change of -1.64 or -0.17 percent. The turnover for this sector was 11,205,500. BR Oil and Gas Index was the most active sector. It closed at 2,106.74 with a net positive change of 13.25 or 0.63 percent. The volume was 65,399,900.
