Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 120,102 tonnes of cargo including 104,144 tonnes import, 15,958 tonnes export cargo and 4,967 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 81,012 tonnes dry cargo including 48,998 tonnes general cargo; 4,672 tonnes sugar; 10,187 tonnes fertiliser; 1,840 tonnes cement; 9,800 tonnes coal; 5,516 tonnes steel scrap and 39,090 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Apl Dalian, Ever Guide, Kota Jasa, Serife, Free Star, Stolt Protector and MT Shalamar sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Al-Marwah, Stolt Protector, Satha Bhum, Diamond Progress, Corinthiakos, Hyundai Sprinter and YM Mondego are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely Satha Bhum, Infinity, Hyundai Sprinter, Al-Marwah, Orionis and YM Mondego expected to sail on Thursday.
Five vessels viz SC Fortitude, Mol Asante, Cape Santiago, Palessa and Dareen due to arrive on Thursday, while nine ships namely Team Leopard, Lalazar, Jo Sycamore, Holly Galaxy, Keefan, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Kota Tabah, Macf Aandresew Swala and Yasmine are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 2,356 tonnes sugar; 7,347 tonnes canola seeds; 5,284 tonnes chemicals; 1,495 tonnes cement and 31,314 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MT Yanaseni and CV MSC Aurora sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV Thuringia Express and MT Chem Adriatic are expected to sail on Thursday.
A total of six vessels viz KIA Waleed, MSC Ilaria, Xiang Wan, Yong Xiang-9, Kudam and Constantinos are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely CV KIA Waleed, CV Xiang Wan and Kudam due to take berths on Thursday.
Bulk cargo carrier MV Dustia Naree due to arrive on Thursday, while four more ships namely CV CMC CGM Turkey, CV Maersk Peterhead, CV MSC Jamima and MT Warbah with containers and diesel oil are due to arrive on Friday.
